Kunar Province Came Under Attack of Pakistani Insurgents

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Insurgents from Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have launched coordinated attack on Kunar province, reports say.

Local security officials have confirmed that the Pakistani Taliban terrorists have launched coordinated attack on security forces checkpoints in Dangam district.

Provincial police chief, Gen. Abdul Habib Syed Khel, said irregular clashes have been going on between the Afghan forces and Taliban militants during the past four days.

However, Gen. Syed Khel, said the insurgents intensified the attack on the security checkpoints this morning.

At least seven insurgents have been killed and almost 16 others have been injured.

According to Gen. Syed Khel, the Afghan security forces are supported by anti-Taliban public rebellion forces.
