Afghan Police Thwart Terrorist Attack Plot in Capital Kabul
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan police officials have disenchanted a terrorist attack in Kabul city by confiscating explosives from the 8th police district.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI) the explosives were placed in Maranjan hill which were discovered and defused by the terrorist groups to carry out the attack.
A statement released by MoI saying a separate attack plot was thwarted by police forces in Qarabagh district.
The statement further noted that a rocket was planted on Kabul-Parwan highway to carry out an attack on Kabul city.
MoI said an investigation has been launched in this regard and no suspect has been arrested yet.
The anti-government militants have not commented about the report so far.
