First Aircraft Lands In Takhar Airfield After Reconstruction
MEP: The airport of Taloqan city after the repair and reconstruction, this morning witnessed the first landing of a plane.
Officials in Takhar province say, this morning (February 26) an aircraft N102MF used for aviation purposes has landed in the airport of the province.
Sunnatullah Timor, provincial governor’s spokesman said the airport built to international standards and the cost of repairing and rebuilding the airfield was paid by Takhar governor and residents of Talaqan city.
Timor added, reconstruction of the airfield started from March 2016 all the other technical work has been completed at a cost of US $2 million.
Pilots also expressed satisfaction of better flight status and the landing of the first plane in the airfield, the airport is able to accommodate large planes landing and flight.
