During the clashes with local residents of Khogyani city of Nangarhar province, who were supported by the governmental security forces, the Taliban shadow governor along with one of his fellows were killed.
“The gun battle took place when Taliban attacked local people yesterday evening in Kuzbyar district of Khogyani city” Atullah Khogyani, the Nangarhar provincial governor spokesman, told the Middle East Press
He added the Taliban shadow governor identified as Wafiuullah nicknamed Omar and one of his fellows were killed in the brief gun battle.
“The local residents were supported by governmental security forces” the Nangarhar provincial governor spokesman said
Taliban yet to comment regarding the battle.
