Two pro-government armed forces commanders shot dead in Faryab and Kunduz

The armed Taliban members have shot dead two pro-government armed forces commanders in the provinces of Kunduz and Faryab, local officials said Wednesday.

Hayatullh Faqiryar, chief of Aliabad district of Kunduz province, told the Middle East Press, local police chief Abdul Ali in this district, was killed early this morning in Taliban ambush when he wanted to visit his fields.

He said Abdul Ali had repeatedly fought against the Taliban and pushed their attacks alongside his men.

Meanwhile, a former commander of uprising forces in Khwaja Sabz Posh district of Faryab province has been shot dead by the Taliban on Tuesday evening.

Abdullah Masumi, Khwaja Sabz Posh district chief says, Ibrahim Chereek, was a popular uprising military commander who had ceased of the military activities recently.

According to another report, as a result of fighting between armed Taliban members and local police in the course of Alingar district of Laghman province in Abozay area, one Taliban member was killed and one other was wounded.

Sarhadi Zowak, a spokesman for the governor of Laghman told the Middle East Press the clashes that happened last night, two local police also died.
