UN Secretary-General arrives in Kabul to meet NUG heads

The U.N Secretary-General António Guterres arrived in Kabul this morning on an unannounced visit for talks with leaders of the national unity government.

A statement by UNAMA said UN Secretary-General is expected to hold talks with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah and other Afghan officials.

UNAMA says that Guterres would also express his condolences to the government and people for the recent deadly attacks in Afghanistan and announces the United Nations full support to the country.
